it's just such a general commmercial......they don't tell you any specifics of the computer or the free printer.....and they try to sell you on the fact that you don't need a checking account

They prey on the folks with bad credit...The rates will be killer...think of it as as payday loan for computers..You give them a check dated and if u cannt pay it by that date you pay a fee to extend it..situation where u could end up paying 4 times the original amount

if anyone gets scam'd by this - if it indeed IS a scam - then too bad ... ya gotta read the fine print & know what you are getting into

yeah it may be legal - but unethical and certainly not nice ... BUYER BEWARE

Looks like they get access to your checking account and withdraw the funds. You have to make so many payments (2 or 3 months worth) and then they're supposed to ship the computer. Apparently they're real slow to ship from the articles I've read. As Txbroadcaster said, you end up paying way more than the computer is worth. Instead of making payments to blue hippo, you'd do better just to make those payments to yourself and going down to circuit city or best buy when you have enough money. Here's one article I read. There were others and all pretty much had the same theme.

You can buy a brand new internet capable, working computer now-a-days for around 300 bucks. If you can't scrape together 300 bucks, you certainly have no business financing ANYTHING.
