By that for this thread I mean players that played great and were known to have won games in the last quarter - sometimes in the last minute. It isn't necessary to name them in order but just those you remember. They can even be those that maybe played before your lifetime that you remember. Three of mine are
Vince Young - led his UT team to win in the 4th quarter in 6 games where UT was tied or behind with the biggest one being the Rose Bowl of course. He was QB.
Jerry Levias - He was a wide receiver from 1967 - 69 . He caught several passes that won games for SMU with several times in the last minute. The most amazing one was the 1967 game with Texas A&M. The Aggies scored with 29 seconds left in the game to go ahead and thought they had it won but Levias caught a couple of long passes and SMU won with 6 seconds left.
Doak Walker - another SMU player who was a running back from 1946-49. He won several games in the fouth quarter. SMU escaped with a tie in two of the games he played in when he scored last minute tds.
