Thank you so much for allowing me to read about my old Alma Matter c/o '83, and feeling so proud for them for what they accomplished last year and will accomplish this year!

I will have to ask my niece to get it for me. It feels strange (and old) to see my classmate’s kids on the Cotulla Cowboy rooster, and I also recognized some of my cousins’ son’s names. Are you from Cotulla, I ask because of your SN? I hope my dream match materializes this year with a match between Cotulla vs. Port Isabel, it almost happened last year but Cotulla lost to Aransas Pass, who PI ended up beating, it would be a tough game for me to watch tough, which side would I seat?

Yes mam, that is the Pearsall paper, sold in Pearsall,Dilley, and Cotulla. Yup, I'm from Cotulla, c/o '01. Cowboy for life. If you ever come through ol C-town check out the new grocery store, Cowboy-themed. I would like to see that match up also, came close last year. You never know, maybe it will happen, I'm just hoping they advance this year.

I was looking at the Cowboy's schedule and I am trying to make the Carrizo Springs game, which according to the schedule it’s in Cotulla. Now if I can get my hubby to skip a Tarpon game, which should be not to hard as that week PI is playing what should be a easy game for the Tarpons that week. I notice your Cowboy for life statement, and that you are a recent grad. Things can change, look at me I never that I would be anything but a Cowgirl (member of the state finalist volleyball team) and Cowboy supporter as my senior year I cheered for the ‘Boys as we have one of those few homecoming victories Coach Booker mentions. But you see my hubby is from Port Isabel and all he talked about was the Tarpons and their tradition, he took me to their games and I got hooked and that was back in 1986 when we moved to Port Isabel from Alice and after living in Cotulla for a few months. But every year I do look out in the state scores and more recently at the High school extra to check the scores for my ‘Boys, especially happy to see that they beat Pearsall! So it would be especially hard to see this dream match-up for me, since I have seen these boys grow up and play since Jr. High along with my son.

The famous volleyball team that I would always hear about. cool, yeah its the Super S, and I can see what you mean about changing views, especially when you have children. I will root for my son or daughters teams, (when I have kids) but always hold a spot for Cotulla. Any year we beat Pearsall it's a good year, and Dilley too. Yeah Carrizo is a home game, I don't know where you're checking for the schedule but theres one up at sasports.com, along with another little preview piece on the team, don't know if you checked that out yet.

http://www.sasports.com/football3Apreviewdistrict.htmlWow thanks, I didn't even know that we were a legend at CHS, LOL wink , Yeah very proud of my bronze medal, could have, should have been gold... anyways that's history now, hey by the way is our picture still up in the trophy case at the gym? (if so I am no# 2)

Actually I don't live in Port Isabel anymore, I live in their district foe of La Feria, :p but we still follow the Tarpons like I said earlier I watched these boys since Jr. High, but you're right I will always hold a spot for Cotulla my Alma Matter ( I can hear the fight song in my head now :D .

I saw the schedule on the Collier-Sharp site. I also saw the story on the Cowboys, I loved it and to hear the good attitude the 'Boys have. Hard work and talent has never been the Cowboys problem, it was poor coaching and coaches that didn't stay around long enough to make a difference. Last time the coach (Coach Tate who later was in Carrizo Springs) stayed around was in the 70's and they had good teams.

Please keep me posted on the scores here, I would love to hear it first hand from you if you go to the games.

I like the way they predict 27-3A to turn out...I saw that Gobbler, and the way the Cuero did in the scrimmages, looks like you're bring up another good team this year.
