Burnet gets thrown in the mix with two drop down 5A powers in Copperas Cove and Waco. I hope you're wrong on this one Matt. That would be horrible!!!!!

I think G-P goes to 30-4A, and Pleasanton and/or R-F drop to 3A.

Well, at least you should still have one win. I doubt MF will be much of a challenge. ;)

Sherman & Denison are currently in with WF High, WF Rider, and Burk right now... along with Denton High.

thats one I thought about....and my logic that...Sherman & Denison are currently w/Denton High and the WF schools....that could switch and Lake Dallas and Little Elm could go up w/Wichita Falls...looks like almost a given that WF and Denton schools will be matched...

I had heard that BH would be in the LaMarque, TC, Santa Fe district. I guess this is a little better??

Just curious, does anyone know if there is a forum like this for 4A?

There will never be anything like the Downlow, but this is our "sister" board. :)

Am I the only that thinks CC Tuloso Midway is missing from the Coastal Bend area teams? Did they drop football? And Alice has 2 schools now?

Just send Kingsville down to 32-4A...make one of them have to travel:D

lol no T-M still has football. There was a rumor that they might go 3A but they turned in just over 1000 I think so they'll probably still be in 31-4A.

Most likey since the realignment coming up. The Colony's numbers have steadily decreased since the opening of Hebron. The Colony should be on the 4A/5A bubble this year. Whatever class they end up in I wish they'd just give up football all together!

Matthew, would you mind posting these on the 4A board? Or, would you mind if I posted them over there as your projections?

Hey Matt, I noticed you have Houston Waltrip listed in 21-4A and 22-4A. Which district did you intend to put them in 21 or 22?

...who do you think will come out of district 6??.......i hear cleburne is getting a new coach and they arent lacking talent so i think they might atcually do something next year......but as always with stephenville and aledo in their district ...they will have to work hard!!

Matthew328
01-29-2006, 03:13 PM
if district six stays the way I predict then Cleburne will have a tough time getting into the playoffs this year..Stephenville is Stephenville...Aledo may be the best team in the district with what they have back from a team that made the 4th round....Mineral Wells may be a lil down losing Thompson but with Bourquin there coaching they are dangerous....Brownwood lost some talent but they'll still be solid...Clebrune brings back Jamel Gruver who is a stud...but things are bad there right now..it'll take Young prolly two years to undue the damage done....ohh and I haven't even mentioned the possibility of an 8 team 6-4A....move Mineral Wells north and move Everman, Crowley and Alvarado in....now that would be a TOUGH district

Stephenville-state semi-finalist
Aledo-state quarter-finalist
Everman-third round in the always tough Region 2
Alvarado-playoff team
Brownwood-playoff team
Crowley-always tough, beat Everman last year
and then Cleburne and Joshua

that would be the best district in Class 4A Region 1 bar none...

Matt...check out that article that I posted from the Abilene paper. Their were some interesting quotes from CB on what to expect...mainly that they want to fill up 5A with 245 schools and that whatever that cutoff is...then the 3a/4a line will be very close to have of that cutoff. Maybe that means that the number will stay between 950/1000...and the 5A cutoff in the mid-
1900's...

Matthew328
01-29-2006, 06:22 PM
it could so maybe my first projection will be a little more accurate.....man if Brownwood dropped I wonder if they'd get thrown in w/Wylie and Sweetwater...poor Merkel and Clyde....

due to dwindling population out there it was bound to happen..

Ray_BearKat

Matt, you don't think the UIL might send down Kingsville or possibly Alice as well down to 32-4A? A 10-team district in 31-4A seems a bit much.

Matthew328
01-29-2006, 09:47 PM
possibly....but I've seen 10 team districts before.......
