For anyone in the greater Houston area looking to get a scholarship somewhere....
Blinn College head football coach Brad Franchione and his staff will conduct a combine Saturday at Katy's Taylor High School football field.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. at the football field house. There is a $20 fee. A licensed trainer will be on site.
Evaluations will begin at 10 a.m. and will include a 40-yard dash, shuttle run, bench press, standing long jump, football drills, height and weight. Participants should bring tennis shoes and football cleats.
Anyone interested in playing college football is invited to participate and compete for possible scholarships, Franchione said.
The Taylor High School football field is at 20700 Kingsland Blvd. in Katy.

My girlfriend's parents live less than two blocks away from the HS Stadium. We're running into town this weekend so I can help her dad out around the house. I'm thinking of dropping by for an hour or two just to check out everyone who shows up.
