we at texasprepxtra have revised our realignment numbers and I can tell you now that the cap has dropped considerably as more and more schools have turned #'s in....another big time 3A will be moving up at least in our projections....will have a FULL projection up on Thursday...this projection will be mine...

texasprepxtra will have projections 5A-3A up by Sunday so stay on the lookout!!

It's funny how people freak out so much over this, 99% of them aren't even coaches! The real one comes out next week, I don't mean to sound rude or anything but just chill and wait. Doesn't matter anyway, any one who thinks that UIL will do anything logical just moved in from the Yukon!

A lot of the 'experts' claim that 6 man football #'s present a problem getting the other classes' #'s to work out. Why not change Texas High School's 6-man football, to 8-man football and the 8-man ceiling to 125, followed by 1A at 126-250, 2A 251-500, 3A 501-1,000, 4A 1,001-2,000, 5A 2,000 and up? The reason they won't? It makes too much sense. They'll say "that doesn't leave enough in class 5A or the such etc., so we'll just let 3A take the hit in lack of total schools competing instead of 5A". Why should the other classes suffer for 5A's sake? With these #'s, every class would face the exact same odds from smallest school to largest school....

we hit 5A on the money and missed 4A and 3A cuts by less than 25 students......of course the districts were different...but we knew that going in...

considering the immensity & complexity of the task the UIL does a great job
