"Ranger Mom closing threads w/no purpose.
If you are going to close a thread like that you need to consider closing a lot more useless threads on here.

For one this is a 3a football site not a baseball, basketball, volleyball, UT, Tech, Oklahoma site.

Lets not play favorites.

If you are going to close one for surving no purpose.

Then you should close all of the other post that have nothing to do with 3a football.

Mustang Fan as for my 157 post.

I have been on this board since May 2003 if you will look rookie.

I only have 157 post because normally I just read and post my predictions and 10 cents worth.

I let all the others that are so proud of their post history post about nonsense.

I don't normally start useless threads, I started that one for a payback to Chaingang for the useless thread he started over Andy Petit being injured and ragging on BH.

Everyone knows that spinach is loaded in iron and makes you stronger - Just look what it has done for Popeye's career. Well, Popeye was wrong. So were all of those parents that stuffed it down their kids' throats. In reality, spinach has no more iron in it than any other vegetable. This spinach misconception dates back to the 1950's when a food analyst made an error while calculating the iron in spinach. His decimal place was off by one place, suggesting that spinach had ten times as much iron content than it really did.

Looneyville, Texas, USA

Looneyville is a town in Texas where all the Looney Tune characters (Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, etc.) originate from... just kidding. Actually Looneyville got its name because half the population is crazy... just kidding... again. Okay here is the real story, although it is not nearly as interesting as the stories above. The town was named after John Looney, who opened a store there in the early 1870s. At the height of its greatness in the early 1890's, Looneyville had a population of 100. Almost a hundred years later, Looneyville is a dispersed rural community.

Hell, Michigan, USA

There are a couple of stories on how this town’s name originated. One theory suggests that one of the original residents, George Reeves, was asked just what he thought the town should be named. George reportedly replied, "I don't care, you can name it Hell if you want to." The second theory suggests that since the area is lower and swampy and in the olden days it was…

…“hell” to cross the rivers in the area.

People show up every year to Hell’s post office to have Hell postmarked on their tax return.

speaking of bubbles, in case anyone wants to make their own, here are a few recipes..

2/3 cup Joy dishwashing soap
1 gallon water
2 to 3 tablespoons of glycerine (available at the pharmacy or chemical supply house.)
New formula!

From "Marcia" in Canada I got the following formula which works for her:

1 cup Ultra Ivory Blue
12 cups water
3/4 Tablespoon glycerine
Gently stir the ingredients together and leave the solution in an open container overnight. We believe that this gives the alcohol on the dishwashing soap a chance to evaporate some. In any case, the solution seems to get better with age. If you substitute some other soap for Dawn, you will have to experiment with the rest of the formula... but that's the fun of science!

1/3 cup commercial bubble solution (I like Wonder Bubbles by ChemToy)
1/3 cup water
1/3 cup glycerine

Useless stuff from "today in sports history!"

1933 Baseball's Pacific Coast League established minimum prices for bleacher and grandstand seats for the 1933 season. Bleacher seats were fixed at 25 cents; grandstand locations at 40 cents.

1944 The Detroit Red Wings set the NHL record for most consecutive goals scored en route to a 15-0 win over the New York Rangers.

1975 Ralph Kiner was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in his 15th and final year of eligibility.

1979 Willie Mays was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame, appearing on 409 of 432 ballots.
