It seems that the entire USC team was enjoying the pre-Rose Bowl partying in downtown Pasedena the night before the game and they saw Vince Young alone on the other side of the street and gave him the downward-pointing "Hook em'" salute. To this Vince replied, "Latex Ladies", or similar. 4 of the biggest Trojans took off after Vince as he ran around the corner of a building and into the alley. After about 2 or 3 minutes Vince re-appeared and shouted, "Is that all you California boys got?" Outraged---Matt Lineart ordered the entire USC team to go after Vince. A few steps after they took off after Vince, one of the 4 Trojan players who had chased him into the alley earlier, crawled out into the street and shouted to the host of onrushing USC players---"Stop! Go Back--It's a Trap--He's got a twin brother."
