I would have to pick Dimmitt Bobcats somewhere in the Top 5.

hehe, are you talking about district 25 or all of 3a? if youre talking about the district, ok, but if youre talking about the state, i doubt it. but i would hope for the best for our guys, our bball team has been fairly consistent for the last 10 years or so. but maybe this year will be different. good luck to all.

not forney...but, actually, our district will be strong with madison coming down from being a playoff threat 4A team.

13-3A has a few teams that have a good chance to make some noise in the playoffs...Ferris, Dallas Madison, Dallas Pinkston, Wilmer Hutchins, and, as much as I hate to admit it, Crandall.

lol, jason, have you forgot how bad ferris is?
theyll get last on district this year....and you left out kaufman, but i doubt theyll be any good cuz their best players graduated. when i was in middle and 9th and 10th grade we used to always beat them.

I don't wanna brag but in most polls Everman is number one...watch out for Canyon though

Ferris has the ability to be good...they're players just have to stay on the team the whole season, but them again i have been out for 2 years so what do i know about high school basketball

What about Kountze or Hardin-Jefferson are they gonna be good this year?

Dallas Madison
Everman
LaVega
Madisonville

Any one of those teams could be #1. I believe they finished behind Lincoln last year in 4A.

Then again, it's basketball...who really cares? When football is over, let's really get into hoops.

Got to go with everman. State has been played at region 2 finals 2 years in a row. Between Gainesville and everman. G'vill finaly got it last year and I think everman will get it this year. Just my toughts.

aransas pass has to be top-five. they get four starters back, including all-south texas mvp tommy blake. hempstead moved to region 3, so ap has to be the favorites in region 4. another year, another regional finals appearance for 30-3A.
1. everman
2. gainesville
3. hempstead
4. kountze
5. (tie) dimmitt/aransas pass

I think Jasper should be considered a darkhorse once they get their football players. For starters they will have Jorrie Adams at 6-9, Red Bryant at 6-6, and RB Jason McQueen to build the team around. They will definitely be big, strong, and fast.

In district last year, they played Ozen closer than anyone else. It is a long shot for them because Jasper does not really have much of a basketball history, but I surely would not dismiss them out of hand.

Dimmitt and Nazareth are in Castro County. Castro County has sent a team to the State Tourney (in either boys or girls (mainly Naz Girls and Dimmit Boys) for the last 60 out of 61 years. Naz Girls have won back to back titles and a National Record of 15 Tstae Titles. Dimmitt Boys have wnet to State back to back years and always seem to be over looked halfway through the season.

When I lived up there, no matter what time of day or day of week you could always go to the gym and shoot. The High School Old Gym was always open.
