Now that it's 2006 there are several films scheduled to be released. The thing is that they are Remakes. They are great but it seems that Hollywood is running out of ideas. With the release of Queen Latifah's film Last Holiday it marks one of the first remakes released. So far '06's releases are Shaggy Dog, The Posiedon Adventure (The Posiedon), When A Stranger Calls, The Crazies, The Hills Have Eyes, The Last House On The Left, Pet Semetary, and Superman I think these directors need more ideas instead of remakes mainly in the Horror Community:D

I dunno somtimes remakes are really really good, but then usually you have some crappy version like the Honeymooners or w/e, and it just gives you that feeling that all remakes suck. But who knows, i like some remakes, just cant think of any currently. lol.

I don't know that they're out of ideas, but they're afraid to put 'em out there. even if the remake is better, I already saw the show once.

On that same topic, if a movie is to win an Oscar or receive critical acclaim, it seems like one of three components must be added:

1) a Mentality handicapped character
2) a gay character
3) A setting in the 1700's

How about a Gay 4th Musketeer with down's syndrom?

I was talking with another man while in Austin at a conference several years ago and I was telling him that Hollywood movies and tv had trouble coming up with new ideas since they were making movies such as The Little Rascals and remakes. He told me that even when those were first made they were not really original ideas.

The underlying theme of this movie is ONE FOR THE MONEY! This time moviemakers targeted a certain audience to cheat out of their money.

I saw "Munich" last night. Kinda long, but it was good, I thought.
