Vote Texas! (http://espn.com)

The 2001 Miami team is the only team that had been picked to beat the 2005 USC team. Now that Texas has proven they are the better team in 2005 ESPN has a poll matching them up against the 2001 Miami team.

oh god...the madness continues.....i thought this crap was over after ESPN's greatest team ever got beat......i guess not, you know a team can be good and considered one of the best ever....its almost impossible to say what would happen if the 05 Horns met the 01 Canes or any other team other than the 05 edition cause it isnt gonna happen.....i think when the greatest team of all time comes along we will know w/o a doubt who it is, because that team will leave no doubt....

I think that may have been based on that 34 game winning streak, but that isn't even close to the record. I think Oklahoma has that record at something like 57 or so.

Andre Johnson, Clinton Portis, Ken Dorsey, Antrel Rolle, Sean Taylor, Philip Buchanon, Jonathan Vilma, Ed Reed, Vince Wilfork, Jeremy Shockey, Jerome McDougle, Bryant McKinnie, DJ Williams, are a few.

They had a couple of more on that team that are in the NFL now.

they were def loaded with talent. I thought Coker did a great job and has really taken some of the outlaw mystique out of the UM program. AS sehnn said you cant compare what teams would have done against teams from another year. There is no way to prove who is right. However it does give the talk show hosts and us something to discuss and argue about.
