It seems to me there are a lot of people out there doggin' Midland Greenwood, doggin' Denver City. Saying they are slowww, blah blah, but I really think that G'wood and DC are gonna surprise a lot of you people out there. I could be wrong, I was wrong once before back in 1987, so it could happen again. And if so, I'll be the first to admit that I misjudged them. Hell, I might have misjudged a LOT of teams (positively and negatively) this year. But that's okay, because that is why they play the games. And at this point, everyone is undefeated!!!! Don't you just love high school football! And now, I do believe the time has come for me to begin my sign-offs for the season..

I was wrong about Ferris, yes. They did a lot more than what I (along with the rest of the state) thought they would. I might have been off base by being so high on Hillsboro as well. I did predict that Cleveland would snap their losing streak when they hit district, which they did, as well as Marlin's run. I was off on Yoe. But I don't dwell in the abyss of insecurity and ambivalent restraint, which is why I'm once again singing the praises of a couple of teams despite the NaySayers!

Well, just for you, I've looked it up in Webster's online and here is what it says:
<clearing throat>
1. A youth movement, characterized by being lazy, worthless, and/or arrogant with a confrontational attitude.
2. A member of the punk movement. (huh?)
When used as an adjective:
1. Feeling bad, depressed, ill...or
2. Inferior in quality or condition
On a side note, it also refers to a large fan used in India consisting of palm leaves, or a large cloth-covered frame suspended from the ceiling and operated by a servant.
But most importantly of all, in some countries, that's used as a term of endearment. http://bbs.3adownlow.com/ubb/wink.gif

Oh, those would be the countries of Hugelbanjawski, Kisaminjaba, and Adorablynzabar. And more recently, Teyemitflahtisi.
