If you can water ski, you can snow ski. (but, letting go of the rope won't make you stop.):D

I can assure you that when water skiing, letting go of the rope is critical. Also, the manner in which you fall once you let go of the rope is important...there is nothing worse than a salt water enema (well, maybe not letting go of the rope). :D

I have never snow skied either....as a matter of fact, I once had a friend tell me she broke her leg on a snow plow. I thought she physically hit a snow plow and was kinda embarrassed when told that it is a maneuver for stopping. :D

So there you have it, all of my knowledge on both sports and God help you if you don't get any better advice.:D

I couldn't have said any better myself.... I tried water skiing a couple of times and decided it would be better if I was fishing lol and I can't even imagine snow skiing but I would enjoy playing in the snow :p

Well, in the nature of not having to check out the local hospital... I'll sit skiing out Mommy!! You go do it first and let me know! Then we'll go from there. Whatcha think?

One more thing, watch those snow skis (equivalent of jet ski and just as dangerous). I had another friend go to the hospital from wrecking one of those. Not only was she banged up, but her mom had to pay dearly for all of the damage.

Hot chocolate by the fireplace in the lodge might be the safest bet. :D ;)

lol... salt water enima....

Well, I'm game to try it... I'll stay with the guy that just had knee surgury... he'll be careful, I'm sure... skiing just looks like it would be so much fun... but as a native Texan I'm not sure about the cold... I don't like the temputure to go below 50...

Do I smell a shopping trip here really soon? YEAH!!!

And yes AP Panther, I think in the lodge w/ the hot chocolate and fire might be the place for me. Until Mom does it first. I ws thinking Snow mobile... but then thought of the Jet ski time and said NO.... So the lodge is where I'll be!!

Nah, just sharing stories. You will do great and have a wonderful time! I have heard that it doesn't seem as cold despite the temps. Something about lack of humidity and wind...maybe the sun reflecting off the snow?

It will be all good....hope you take some pictures to share.:D

Sure, Coors' distinctive flavor comes from missing skiiers. Some years back I was drinking a Coor's light and couldn't stop singing the song "I got you Babe"...

"Exciting" is:

Letting a possum loose in a ladies exercise class.

Calling Ray Lewis "gay" to his face.

Hunting Grizzlies with a Bowie knife.

Going naked to see "Brokeback Mountain".

Telling Black_Magic that he was born in Sweetwater.

Telling Bubba Joe that he and Black_Magic are related.

Letting PPHSFan and G2 go unsupervised to a 4H show.

As for the Super Bowl, I am still mad that they have it on Sunday instead of Saturday. Limits the fun intake or makes you suffer on Monday....but hey, parties are good!
