Sources: Texans to fire CapersESPN.com news services

Houston Texans coach Dom Capers will be fired on Monday, league and team sources told ESPN's Chris Mortensen.

Even though team consultant Dan Reeves wouldn't mind becoming the Texans' next coach, owner Bob McNair will look harder at offensive coordinators like Denver's Gary Kubiak and San Diego's Cam Cameron with Iowa's Kirk Ferentz on everybody's radar, Mortensen reported.

I heard on the radio this morning that Caserly will be retained. I think that he should have been the first to go. The roster moves that he made last year are a big part of the reason why they went 2-14. I mean how did that Phillip Buccannon deal work out, he was not even in uniform at the end of the season. I liked Capers and I wish that he could have kept his job, but it had to be done. Caserly needs to go too.

Watch Caserly blow the Reggie Bush draft pick for some rediculous trade.

Bush won't make them a playoff contender. Barry Sanders was a great rb as well but Detroit never amounted to much. If Jimmy J was in charge you would see a Herschel Walker deal with that pick.

Believe me, there is nobody that is as nervous about that #1 pick than Casserly. He hasn't had too much luck with the "can't miss" picks. Anybody remember a guy named Heath Shuler?

To pull that off, you would need some sort of idiot like Mike Lynn to pull that of. I don't think there is such a guy around like that anymore.
