WEEK 17 NFC PLAYOFF PICTURE

1. Seattle Seahawks (13-2) – NFC West champions. Clinched first-round bye and home-field advantage. Would play host to the lowest-seeded, wild-card round winner in the divisional playoffs. Next: at Green Bay (3-12).

2. Chicago Bears (11-4) – NFC North champions. Clinched first-round bye. Would play host to the highest-seeded, wild-card round winner in the divisional playoffs. Next: at Minnesota (8-7).

3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (10-5) – Leads NFC South. Can clinch playoff berth with 1) a tie or 2) Dallas loss or tie or 3) Washington loss or tie or 4) N.Y. Giants loss or tie or 5) strength of victory tiebreaker over Dallas and N.Y. Giants. Can clinch NFC South title with 1) a win or 2) Carolina loss or 3) a tie and Carolina tie. Would play host to the No. 2 wild card in a first-round game. Next: vs. New Orleans (3-12).

4. New York Giants (10-5) – Leads NFC East. Clinched playoff spot. Can clinch NFC East title with 1) a win or tie or 2) Washington loss or tie. Would play host to the No. 1 wild card in a first-round game. Next: at Oakland (4-11).

5. Carolina Panthers (10-5) – Currently No. 1 wild card. Can clinch playoff berth with 1) a win or tie or 2) Dallas loss or tie or 3) Washington loss or tie. Can clinch NFC South title with 1) a win and Tampa Bay loss or tie or 2) a tie and Tampa Bay loss. Next: at Atlanta (8-7).

6. Washington Redskins (9-6) – Currently the No. 2 wild card. Holds head-to-head tiebreaker against Dallas. Can clinch playoff berth with 1) a win or 2) Dallas loss or 3) a tie and Dallas tie. Can clinch NFC East title with a win and N.Y. Giants loss. Next: at Philadelphia (6-9).

7. Dallas Cowboys (9-6) – Can clinch playoff berth with 1) a win and Washington loss or tie or 2) a win and Carolina loss or 3) a win, Tampa Bay loss, N.Y. Giants loss and strength of victory tiebreaker by N.Y. Giants and Dallas over Tampa Bay or 4) a tie and Washington loss. Next: vs. St. Louis (5-10).

So is it saying that if TAmpa loses and NY wins, Dallas is out?
