They just won a State Title in Football. Can Coach Carr get them to Austin in basketball??? Only a handful of schools have accomplished that feat!!! Good luck to the Eagles, they have a shot!!!

is there a night club or dance hall in Mingus? I saw where a guy i used to know is playing there in January.

What kind of question is that??? A town of less than 200 people and at least 6 to 7 bars!!!! The Trio Club usually has bands come in and play!!! Cool place to be!!!!

somehow Mingus got left off of my lists of places to stop and see when I am traveling across the state. From I-20 it looks like there isnt even a place to take a shazz.

Next time through the area, stop and check it out!!! If you are hungry just stop in Strawn, home of Mary's. Or in Thurbur, home of the Smokestack!!! Or the New York Hill Steakhouse!!! All 3 are good. Mary's has the BEST CFS anywhere!!!

I have actually been to the Smokestack. I plan on beig there in January when my buddies band plays there.

Order the Large Chicken Fry from Mary's(5 minutes from Mingus) and the BIG O of BEER!!! AWESOME STUFF!!!!
