What a nice little town...Seems like its been years since their football team was filled with skilled people, but they won 5-5, last year anyway. Well this year they have enough power and poise to challenge Barbers Hill, Liberty, and Coldspring for a playoff spot(or even District). They best not be taken lightly. That 8-1 JV was quite potent. It's always a joy to watch a Coach Kevin Weldon team take the field, what pride and discipline! A good Coaching staff can be spotted a mile away. They have 20 letterman back and these are boys that really played during the season. They don't have a system of lettering everyone that played a down or two. Liberty and Barbers Hill are pretty much considered a toss up by people that have seen them play last year; but Coldspring and Splendora can surprise either one of the frontrunners, on a given night.
