I wish it was mine... this was taken at the King Ranch... a monster deer, 220+ B&C, 230-something pounds...

HUGE... free-ranging too... no high-fence...

Home of everybody's favorite target, "Muy Grande". I saw one standing on the side of the road down there one day and seriously considered having a "spell" and veering off the road.:D

GreenMonster...woodchucks are notoriously bad chuckers of wood. They are inherently lazy as they can get wood which has already been chucked. They simply hang out on woodchuck discussion boards and post til they are hungry for some pre-chucked wood. They prefer pre-chucked oak but will happily take maple or hickory at the drop of a limb.

Still no Buck for slpybear this year... been three times and have only seen a small 8 point that needs to grow some more.

Wait, don't take that to the bank just yet... I have heard from everyone I have talked to about it that it is... I'm trying to search it up to make sure... doesn't make sense that it would be low...

All I can find is a page saying their fencing is 49" high... may be just for cattle? Hell, it's the size of Road Island, has to be high-fences somewhere, maybe for exotics...

Whatb did that buck cost?

Gobbla2001

$5500 for starters, then $100-something for every point...

'Rumor' is the guy had heard the buck was in that area and paid megas (6 digits) to have the area to himself... dunno about that though...
