If you look closely, you will notice that this is based on Wins & Losses, not whether you have a job or not. These guys have done tremendous jobs at their respective schools. Give them their props.

Nelms used to be the coach at Iowa Park.
I think he's only been at Wimberley for 3 years.

I believe I would have included Mark Reeve from Cuero. He's only been in 3A two years. Finals the first year and semis this year. Not too shabby.

Yah, may just count 3A wins, but then again a lot of Crowe's wins were while he was in 4A with Wharton...

I believe overall, with his 36 wins in 3 years at Cuero, Reeve is at 154... may be mistaken though, believe he came here with 118?

Actually, this is Nelms' second tour of duty at the helm of the Texans. He came to Iowa Park from Wimberley in 1994 after leading the Texans to the 2A Semi-Finals in 1993 where he was beaten by Omaha Paul Pewitt which went on to the title. I believe he had a 3 or 4 year run the first time around.

It's definitely not just 3A wins, as most of Hooks' wins have come in 4A and 5A.

Traylor @ Gilmer hasn't been head coach long enough to be on this list yet. but, i think he is like #3 already in winning percentage. 61-13 in 6 years. 39-3 in last 3.
