ncaa 06...cuz I guarantee I can whip you at it! That being said...Madden is a better simulation of real football.

I would have to agree the race for the heisman is so great and whats even better when you get drafted you put in Madden and then play some more thats what makes these two games the best sports game out.!!

Even though I only own Madden, I seem to have more fun playing NCAA.

For gameplay purposes, i would definitely say Madden, because in NCAA, they drop so many freaking passes, i just want to shoot somebody after a while. But for infinite possibilities and options, like teams to play with, NCAA.

was this a good thread football4life?

NCAA, if only for the ability to run the option.

I still play NCAA 2002 though. It was one of the first games i bought for PS2, and I'm not one to buy the new version. What's more, I got addicted to dynasty and am on year 30, sad huh?

NCAA for sure, but i play Madden as well.

I feel for football4life, ive broken a controller playing because of the dropped passes, especially the routine ones, then the same reciever will bust out with a ridiculous catch over 4 people the next play.

the biggest reason for the dropped passes is what you are doing to throw the ball. If you are rolling out and throwing on the run...go back and look at the replay and you will see that even though your pass is "on line" its a VERY wobbly and weak ball. Also, even though they don't have the vision cone on NCAA, they did build some of that in so that you can't roll right and then throw back left 45 yards with much accuracy without first stopping and giving him time to adjust. Also, don't try and roll left with a QB that is right handed and then try to throw...you have very little accuracy.

Nothing wrong with that addiction. I only go about 10 years for each team, but I usually take some of the lower teams and try to make them huge. My first dynasty ever was Auburn, but that was too easy. So I switched to SMU, then La Tech, then pulled Sam Houston and SWT up (I have NCAA '05) and turned both of them into dynasties, and right now I have a MAC dynasty. I'm controlling Kent State, Northern Illinois, Western Michigan, Toledo, Ohio and Central Michigan. I've made all of them national powers by playing all the top teams in nonconference and then beating up the rest of the MAC during conference play. Whenever they play each other, though, I just let the computer simulate the game.

It's been 15 seasons, though, and these teams have been four- to six-star programs for at least 10 seasons and I still can't get a BCS berth for the MAC. Don't know if it'll ever happen.

I guess I'll give it another few years, then I'll start working on another dynasty. I've been thinking about just going to a team that has a huge stadium but isn't one of the 25 toughest places to play and turning that stadium into #1. I was thinking about UCLA, but I want more of a challenge. Any suggestions?

Its kinda a crapshoot. I took over hawaii and turned it a repeated national champion after 4 years. Theyre a powerhouse now. However, in my 26th year I went to FSU (cause i wanted helmet stickers, hehe), which was a 1 star school at the time, and its my 5th year there and i'll lose out again because I always get preranked too low. But as for a suggestion, maybe Washington?

I've broken controllers for dropped passes, flags on kickoff/punt returns for tds, and any other time i get mad. My controller has elictrical tape all over it and sometimes the buttons stick so you gotta hit it and the R1 pops out. But it's faithful.

gotta get the EA Sports branded wireless controller. It's the best $30 investment I have ever made. Now I can throw the controller into the bed/pillow/etc so as not to break it instead of going wherever the cord allows! :D

I actually just broke an xbox controller today playing madden, mostly out of anger at my own stupidity. Back when i had a PS2, i could unscrew those suckers and fix the problem, i took apart my xbox controller and couldnt fix it. So i went and bought a new one with a gift card.:D

Obviously when you make a bad throw they could drop a pass, but im talking about when I run the same play, my favorite, and he drops the ball both times in the same way. That gets me angry.
