Gary Joe Kinne, who led the Canton football team to its best season in school history, is one of seven finalists for the Adams USA National Head Coach of the Year. Canton finished 12-2, losing in the Class 3A Division II Region II final to eventual state champion Tatum.
"That's awesome," Kinne said Monday, when he learned that he was a finalist.
The only other finalist from Texas is Spring Westfield’s Corby Meekins. The winner will be announced Jan. 5.
--------------
Also wanted to add that Coach Kinne will coach the LB's in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl game.
