Saw Moye play against John Tyler's JV, that kid has skills on the court as well. He doesn't have very good handling skills, but can score points. He would certainly start on the varsity squad. JV and Varsity both lost to JT. JT is ranked #5 in 5a and nearly lost to unranked Diboll.

Diboll led almost the entire game and had a 10 point lead at one time. JT outscored Diboll in the 4th to take the win.

Final Diboll 50 JT 60

there is no legit reason why he cant play football next year unless some loophole is being looked for by someone...

Dang. Is he gonna get to play football next season? He has to sit out the first 4 games and then he can play. That will constitute 1 full year suspension from varsity athletics.

Last I heard is that he has a new lawyer representing him and they are still trying to get him eligible for this years basketball season and next years football season (all 10 games). He indeed is planning on staying. He's been practicing as 1 of the starting 5 for the bball team. Does the basketball coach know something we don't? Why would he put Gilbert to play with the other 4 starters? That would be a waste of time if he won't be able to play this season.
