Okay, this actually was quite a lot of work to do. Since 1986 there have been exactly 300 different schools to compete in 3A. 109 of them competed in 3A all 20 seasons and the remaining 191 competed in 3A anywhere from 1 season only (Lubbock Dunbar in 1992) to 18 seasons (35 different schools). The following is a list of the teams with the most wins ONLY while playing as a 3A team (thus the teams who logged 20 out of 20 years in 3A have a huge advantage). Just to make it fair, the other half of the table is highest winning percentages while playing in 3A. This ranking is skewed towards teams that spent fewer seasons playing in 3A (Southlake Carroll racked up that unreal win-loss record in just 8 seasons!). This is not meant to make any statement or make some hidden point to try to tout any specific team or teams... it's just interesting info I thought I'd pass along since several people requested it....

1 of those wins was also against Vernon in the regional final. They avenged the loss the Lions gave them previous year! After that they jumped up into 4A.

So I have a question. For Tatum's record in particular, Tatum didn't play in 3A until 1991. So in the past 20 years are you saying we have those 150 wins in 15 years, or total in the 20 years? Cause I do believe Tatum would be even higher on that list if it werent for the 6 years we were in 2A during the last 20 years.

That's right....they were skeered to stay in 3a....needed to move on to 5a where they could really dominate!

True, but I already posted that list...

3A Teams over Past 20 Years (All Games Included) (http://bbs.3adownlow.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=38778&highlight=WOS87)

...which prompted the comments about so many teams having more games included from non-3A seasons than seasons playing in 3A. This is just the response to that to show totals counting only games played while in 3A.

In the original posting WO-S, Sweetwater and Pilot Point are 3 of the top 4 in Win Totals over the past 20 years whereas on this ranking none of them even break into the top 20, because the vast majority of their wins all came in either 4A or 2A.

Tatum is in bold because their season isn't over yet and their numbers could still change.... the other teams are in bold just to highlight the #1 teams....
