You know that common opponents mean nothing. But Celina did destroy Argyle like half a hundred to zippo when they played.:eek:

Newton boys could have taken Celina. The Newton-Argyle game was close. But that's what makes it an interesting game.

if you take a look at newton's past scores, you will notice that more than half of the time newton dominated. The Argyle game was one of those games when there were a lot of mistakes. Also you have to look at it this way, we have a lot of newbies to varsity who have never played at a state game. We have 1 freshman and 19 sophmores. I would have loved to see Newton play Celina cause it would be a very interesting game. But like I said, I have faith that my boys would have won if we would have gotten the chance to play Celina.
