All this cold wheater and snow talk got me thinking snow is kind of overrated. It is fun for like 30 minutes then I get so cold I just go inside.

thats an accurate despcription of the culprit...but i have found that alot of times when it snows, it doesnt seem to be as cold, or feel as cold. i know most of the days in a-stan at the end it was frickin' really cold but when it would snow, it wasnt that bad. but when it didnt snow it was windy and the wind chill factor was horrible. just a lil speel on the white powder.:D

IMO it all depends on the timing ..... its pretty but can be a PITA

by the way its really pretty here in Northern VA - we got 4 more inches last night

10 years ago I wouldn't have said it was over-rated. Now, though, I've changed my mind. Borrowing a term from 3afan, it's a PITA when you have to get out in it!

But it is pretty.

It's nice when you're younger and you don't have to worry about getting kids dressed for the cold outside or having to carry all their things or them because they don't want to walk in it. Or in and out of the car. I honestly could not live where it snowed all the time. I twas hard enough getting the kids to school this morning w/all their backpacks, jackets, lunches etc..and then they were dragging anyway since school was cancelled yesterday.

So I voted yes it's overrated.

I left that part out of my reply... but I agree, it is harder as an adult with kids!

I think most of the people in Texas over-rate snow. It's fun to us because we rarely see it. Or, at least, I rarely see it. It's exciting!! I couldn't get used to it though. I like it for a day or so, then it's time for it to go. I don't see how the people from the Northen states handle it.

Dude snow is awesome! Considering that it snows on maybe 1% of the year, you cant be pissed off when it snows! Gotta say snow is one of my all time favorite things.

it's like debating "which school has more spirit," "our fans are better," and "this team/town/fans/coaches are/aren't classy"...it just gets annoying after a bit...
