Katie used to be a destroyer too, but since she's 14 she tends to sleep alot now. She's still a good dog, great companion.

I have a number 1 but the best dog I ever had was a blue heeler/border collie mix. Great dog. Super smart.

My mom and dad just lost their Brittney Spaniel....Sam was a wonderful dog...very protective of the gradkids...he was a baby when the my daughter and niece were toddlers...they all grew up together...he was 14 and it was like losing a part of the family :(

On another note....my #10 dog is VERY protective of me!!! She is a great companion also...she still has her spunk...and she lets the cat know the pecking order!!!!!

Yep, Labs are the best. Kind of surprised that Collies aren't listed...especially with Poodles up there in the list ahead of them? lol

We also have a collie (looks just like Lassie) she was a dumped off dog...we took her in and she has been a great dog! Wen we moved from LG to Kansas our neighbors in LG wanted us to leave her...she was the 'neighborhood' dog. Here in Kansas...everyone know us as "ohhhh, you are the new people with that really sweet dog" She has made a name for herself here also! :)
