NBC lost the game on a missed extra point that hit the uprights.

Reminiscent of the end to "the streak" at Celina...

We've lost several playoff games over the years because we couldn't make a kick. Finally, we win one because someone else can't. I feel bad for the NBC kicker. They had just busted a 90-yd run with 3 minutes left to get within one, then DOINK!

Gotta be rough for that young man. I was on the fence with this one. Would've luved to NBC move on, but I can't help but feel for Calallen. They have be knockin for sometime now...

NBC Coach went for the tie with 4 min. left, didn't call to with 3 left. should have called to talked about it and went for two...instead he tried to hurry and kick against the wind and the snap was bad.

NBC had a good year

That wind was brutal, no doubt. The snap looked a little low and the holder struggled with it briefly. The timing on the whole thing looked pretty shot.

We're playing Brenham, but it really doesn't matter who we're playing. If our offense can't be more efficient next week, we won't make it any farther. Our defense has carried us to this point.

Good luck To Calallen. Sure would be nice to see this team FINALLY play for state title after all them near misses in the past.
