I'm still mad at wos for smacking us in the 87 quarterfinals (my first year to teach at CHS)

Plus they were almost as big a rival to my Bulldogs back home as PN-G, so I am doubly happy they are finally out of it.

Serioiusly, only four D1 teams are still in the hunt this weekend, so the 13-1 Mustangs can go home proud of what they have done.

WOS, sorry about the loss. You guys had a great team. I saw Wimberley pick it up against Cuero last year and they did this season. I'm still not on their boat but after seeing them against Bandera(a much much better team than they finished in district) and the WC blowout, I knew then were living up to their potential.

WO-S outgained Wimberley, but the mistakes and the big plays cost us. Wimberley was the better team tonight. Still, nothing will kill the pride I have for our boys, our city and our team. State Semifinals is nothing to sneeze at. We managed to outgain Wimberley and put up more than 400 yards and 29 points on the best D in 3A.

Those turnovers were forced because the Wimberly defense and coaching staff forced us out of our game plan. Wimberley was the superior team tonight, no if and's or but's. I'm proud of our kids and their season, we have plenty of talent returning next year so we'll be OK. I hope Wimberley takes it all now. Don't know what the other teams will bring to the table, but whatever it is, it better be a lot because those boys at Wimberley will flat get after you.

I'm going to hate never seeing #7 wearing the blue and silver again. Players like him don't come along to often. We are going to have to learn to play as a team again, which I think will be better for us in the long run, but I'll sure miss old Beasley. He was a joy to watch. Good luck to him at UT and the rest of the seniors. You guys made Orange proud!!

I wasn't Jody-ing out. I know the turnovers are a part of it, and Wimberley caused some of them and actually ran two back for TDs. I was just laying out what the game turned on. Wimberley beat us as fair and square as it gets.

Also, Wimberley's defense is very, very disciplined. The screens didn't work at all tonight. They stayed home at the right times.
