Sharing the title???????

I know this may be old news but I was told after the game with LSU and OU that LSU had to share the title with USC? I just dont think thats right. This is coming from the mind of an 11th grade female but I dont exactly understand whats going on. Will someone please break this down for me!! God bless.

there are two polls.. the coaches, and the sportswriters... the coaches signed a contract with the Bowl Championship Series to vote for the winner of the Nokia Sugar Bowl as their national championship. The sportswriters, however, do not have a contract like this in place. The Sportswriters places USC atop their poll and the Coaches put LSU... although.. there were 3 coaches who voted for USC... So, according to the two polls we have a split national title. i hope this clears it up for you

To settle who is the best I would like to see LSU & USC play that would decide who's best.

Lady the main problem is that there is no playoff in Division 1 football to settle a national championship. It is governed by politics and opinions and computers which are manipulated. In division 2 and 3 football the top 16 teams are chosen to compete for the national champion and they play till one is left just like in high school state championship. Division 1 college football is the only sport that doesn not have a playoff system to determine the national champions. It works for division 2 and 3 but the powers that be refuse to give the people what they want.

I think LSU deserves it more because they played a much better team in Oklahoma than USC did in Michigan. Michigan is a very good team don't get me wrong but they are no Oklahoma.

USC had no choice but to play Michigan because of the powers that be and hopefully something will be done about it but probably not anytime soon.
