Do players get all district by having skill or is it politics?

Well, the coaches have a lot of say on who is all-district.
With that being said, I've seen some all-district picks that you scratch your head about.
There are the obvious choices that you see, the real talented players in a certain district. There are also those kids that get recognized by their hard work on the field, even though they aren't the most athletic kid at that position. Don't get me wrong though, these kids also deserve recognition because they play their position better than some and the bottom line is... get the job done. No matter how you look doing it.
I will say that I've seen some all-district picks that make you scratch your head and think if that player was recognized by something other than just his on the field play.

I say its a little of both because I remember two years ago a kid from Wylie was 2nd team all district behind a kid who wasnt that great.Then the Wylie kid turned around and showed the district how wrong they were by being 1st team All State. (and he was well deserving of that honor)
