I don't know about ya'll, but it's always been a tradition around my housr to watch the Army/Navy game.

To me, this is the ultimate rivalry game that has so much class and honor among the 2 institutions. It prooves that 2 football programs can compete on the field, and it also prooves that they can join forces if and when called upon to defend this great country.

THere is a show on ESPN Decemeber 10th, about honor at the U.S. Military Academy. Maybe ya'll might be interested in it.

Football can produce honor, character, and esprit de corps.

I was at the game in 1983 when they played it at the Rose Bowl. It is an amazing thing. The Golden Knights (Parachute team) jump in with the game ball and have the flags on their cords. In '83 the one with the American flag's chute collapsed about 50 feet up. He went straight down, jumped up and kept the flag from hitting the ground. Then they rushed him to the hospital for emergency surgery on his leg which was broken in 3 places. Just one of the stories from this famed rivalry.

What an insult.....

Maybe the actual game is not UT-USC material, but the military institutions have bigger plans for thier players than going into the NFL and making lots of moolah..(i.e. T.O.)

These players are about to embark upon serving their country. If you want to insult the integrity of that, go ahead, be my guest.

This game is what college football is supposed to be about. If you find that boring then go back to your Xcube, Playstation or whatever! Add to it what these guys will be doing post-college and it makes for a game that transcends anything your tiny mind can comprehend.
