At the State Game Between Burnet and Everman, their band did an awesome job. They are such a classy group of young individuals that seem to have such a relaxing time on the field while doing a good job to pump up the crowd. This is a state marching band and they are to be commended. Thanks Burnet Band for the great halftime entertainment!

I'm not much for watching the bands real closely but last year's Burnet Band performance at the Jasper game at Kyle Field was impressive! I'm sure they are still wowing 'em this year!!

The best part about the band is when they get off the field so the football team can start the second half! :p

For not having much success in football, the valley has some really good marching bands, plenty of state qualifiers. I wish the rest of the state could see some of them.

I would agree that Burnet's band did a great job at Kyle Field last year against Jasper. But I will say this. I think last year's Jasper band had to be the loudest 3A band that I've ever heard. Man, those guys were pumping out some serious sound! eek!

When I was about 12 I remember the Midland Lee Rebel band re-enacting the civil war at their half time performance...it was awesome. I will never forget it. It was one part band performance and one part theatrical performance. Of course they had close to 300 people in their band.

vet93, I know I get spoiled working with the Kingwood band. They have their our 9th grade marching band of 150 students. Then the 10-12 graders march around 250. FYI - The Kingwood band is a military marching band.

Cool...I love to watch a good military band march. It must be alot of fun being a music minister and working with a marching band too! How do you find the time?

The head band director for Kingwood High School comes to my church. Matter of fact, he also plays trombone in our group "Powerwind". I don't do a whole lot with the band. We help them out with summer section rehearsals and whatever else we can. It's a lot of fun. I used to be a band director but had my fill of unruly parents and nonsupportive administrators. Now I get to work with kids in our youth orchestra and still get to help out the band when they need it. I love my job! :D :D :D
