I had a typing teaching in JHS (Mrs. Cauley , who son was the big OL this year for Jasper btw) who could type well over 100 words per minute on a manual type writer..so year it is possible I do believe.

typing 26 letters in less than 2 seconds would be more than 100 wpm.....you basically teach your fingers a pattern after you do it for so long so you get faster....

i dont really see the difference, i can type over 100 wpm on a computer and the keyboard is the same setup as a typewriter...of course i can correct mistakes a bit ezier on here, but same concept...when you type that fast you dont really think about letters anways, actually i personally dont think at all, its just like talking...except i can actually type faster than i talk :eek:

haha i dunno...sometimes my hands get ahead of my brain, i guess that is where typos come from....i have probs w/ that 30 second thing too sometimes, but if they didnt have it we would have crazy people posting one word every 5 seconds...

it is fun, but i didnt get to do it yesterday, to get below 3 you have to take a break and come back and do it after you consistantly get below 3.5.....and then bam you get all the letters w/o screwing up and ur below 3....i went below 3 twice in a row and havent did it since, but i stopped trying after that and yesterday i was workin on no sleep, so i guess i'll try some today
