You are very good at stats so I have a question.

After next week, there is a chance for four undefeated teams to be left in the DII bracket. Has this ever happened before?

The easy answer to that is no. Strangely, there have only been 7 unbeaten teams ever to have competed in the 3A Division II Semifinals...

Year - Team -- Record entering the Semis -- Result
1998 - Daingerfield 14-0 (lost in the finals)
1999 - Commerce 14-0 (state champs)
1999 - Sealy 13-0 (lost in the finals)
1999 - Crane 14-0 (lost in the semis)
2000 - Muleshoe 14-0 (lost in the semis)
2002 - Midland Greenwood 14-0 (lost in the finals)
2004 - Gilmer 14-0 (state champs)

1999 appears to be the only year that there's ever been more than 1 unbeaten team in the Div 2 Final Four

The answer is the same in Division I as well.... with only 7 unbeatens making it to the Semis prior to this year....

2000 - Gatesville 13-0 (state champs)
2001 - Everman 13-0 (state champs)
2001 - Sinton 13-0 (lost in finals)
2002 - Burnet 13-0 (lost in finals)
2003 - Gainesville 13-0 (state champs)
2003 - Burnet 13-0 (lost in finals)
2004 - Cuero 13-0 (lost in finals)

so I guess it's pretty rare to have this many unbeatens left this year...

2005 - Gainesville 12-0
2005 - West Orange-Stark 12-0
2005 - Wimberley - 13-0

It's kind of surprising that it doesn't happen much but I would surmise one of the reasons for it is that so many of the teams that end up advancing further later in the season have tougher teams scheduled earlier which results in losses. Look at Atlanta and Marlin in 2003:

Atlanta was State Champ but how many people remember that they actually started the season off 1-4 with losses to Hallsville, Texarkana, Mount Pleasant and Marshall (all 4A schools)

Marlin was a semifinalist and also started the season 1-4 but with losses to 4A schools Waco University, Waco Midway and Ennis and 3A Finalist Burnet
