Only three of last years champions are still playing football. Southlake Carroll in 5A Division II, Crawford in 2A Division II, and Richland Springs in 6-Man.

Just goes to show how hard it is to repeat. The days of Sealy, LaMarque, Brownwood, and a few others appears to be over, with the exception of Southlake Carroll. So much luck is involved in addition to having a spike in talent moving through the program.

Not related to this thread, but how about Early in 2A??? Started the year ranked 114th and they are in the final four. Superb coaching.

What about a little school named Celina. They won 4 State Championships in a row and had a 60+ game winning streak!!! Wow!!! Incredible!!

that's gonna be one hell of a game this weekend in Bedford. Crawford vs. Celina...pairing up to be just as big as last year's game.
