I found out while I was at the game that Bridgeports kicker blew his knee out last week. I just find it hard to believe that outa 40+ kids no one else could kick.

Just FYI,

Bridgeport did not convert on ANY extra point opportunities. Monahans scored 7 extra points, which was the difference in the game.

I think this game was amazing because Bridgeport was actually stopped just short of the goal line to send the game to overtime. I wonder if Monahans realizes how close that was?

Geezz... Just got back from the game... Bridgeport Wins 42-36 Yeah that's what it should have been... Man no kicker for them and you got to be just happy to get out of sweetwater if your monohans...

The first of the game Monahans looked like they would roll through this game... And all the players acted like it.. (i think their downfall)... In fact #8 for Monahans on a crossing pattern kinda does some prancing move while catching the ball and droppes it... DONT GET ME WRONG after they started losing all the heads came out of the clouds and they knew they were in a fight...

A very exciting game.. I was on bridgeport's side and after the bulls got the lead behind that Excellent runner they have #33.. (is this guy a senior)... I was telling my group we need to switch sides.. We dont want to play this team... Their coaches are gamblers.. and after every series they would break up in groups and talk about the plays.. VERY WELL COACHED>...

ONE KNOCK AGAINST BRIDGEPORT.. There was one guy who had silly string and everytime they scored he was spray it.. I told my group that if Bridgeport would win the game that i was going to sit on their side and everytime sweetwater scored i was going to spray some silly string on him.. (i know bad sportsmanship..lol)...

BOTH CROWDS were AMAZING.. and LOBO BAND was a good Noise maker... Made it feel like a home game for the lobos...

what else can i say.... I do believe that the Monahans-Sweetwater matchup is alot better for the mustangs than the other.... Not that we can beat them or they could beat us.. Bridgeport would have had our scouting department burning the midnight oil.... lol... SO Back to Midland...

I think it will be a great game. Monahans played very good ball. I think we can run on them, but we will have to stick with our blocks and knock heads all night long. They can pass and we will adjust for that.

Well I called this game on the radio last night and man to say it was exciting is an understatement. Coming into the game you would have asked that Bport offense move the ball and score against a very good Monahans defense. You would have asked that Bport defense get some stops on a powerful running team that the Loboes have. And now looking back I wish you would have asked that the special teams convert at least one extra point.

The Bulls did everything they had to win the game but the loss of the Bull Captain (leading tackler on defense, punter and kicker) proved to be too much to overcome for the Bulls. Monahans score 6 TD's in the game, converts 3 of 4 on xp's and converts 2 of 2 on 2pt conversions. Bport on the other hand scores 7td's and doesn't convert 2 xp attempts and 5 2pt conversions. You would think that you could convert at least 1 out of 7.. Monahans knows they were in a dog fight and got lucky to escape with the win.

Monahans has a good team but I don't think they are good enogh to beat Sweetwater. I think Bport could have given Sweetwater more then they wanted next week as well and I am sure that the Sweetwater coaching staff are happy with the out come of the came. If you live in Sweetwater and did not go to the game last night shame on you, because you missed a game that will not be forgotten for a while..

How about the performance of #33 RB Colin Jones from Bport! Colin Jones 18-233 and 3 Td's rushing. Receiving 3-83 2Td's.
