I actually think this is the Div. 1 final, as these are the best two teams in Div. 1, IMHO. I personally think this can go either way, but am pulling for Wimberley! No offense WOS fans, but they cleaned up WC! And yall beat up a darn good Giddings team! So, I wanna go to the game, where is it gonna be played, i've heard several different stories!

This will be a tough test for both teams. of course I am an avid WOS fan, but I realize that this will be 2 tough teams that hit the field. I have to side with my 'Stangs, as they always do whatever is neccessary for the win. As to Wimpering's Code Red, they haven't seen the Chain Gang yet!!!

Wimberly sounds like they have a lot of size up front. Did I hear right when I heard that one of their lineman has commited to Texas. This is going to be a really good game in my opinion. Both teams sound like they have good athletes, with Wimberly having the bigger line. Both teams will be playing at a much higher level this Friday. I hope the Stangs can take them.

While Im not usually a big Wimberley fan, I definatly pull for teams from our old District 27 3A. From what I have seen of Wimberley this year, the definatly have the ability to beat WOS. As we all know, anything can happen when you get deep into the playoffs. Good luck to Wimberley for the win and good luck to both teams for an injury free game.

WO-S has got to be one of the hardest hitting 3A teams in the state. I bet there is gonna be some big licks in this game considering all that is on the line. I still remember the CC Callallen hit in 2000 at the dome. These are the kind of games that bring out the best in WO-S

We all know they are a good defense, but you dont have to repeat that stupid nick name, because one of these games any team could turn your code to black and blue. This game is going to be awesome. I hope i can possibly make it. I agree that this is probably the championship game for Div. 1 even though gainesville is a strong team. I'll be going for Wimberly since they are from region 4, but WOS may bring it to them.

I used to live in LaVerrnia and that was my hang out spot durring the week. The I would ethier go to cowboys or Midnight rope a hoe, on the weekends.

But you should go to the GS on thursday nights. It's steak night 10 dollar huge rib eyes. Man their great.

While speed does help, I don't think it decides a ball game at this level. I think the Stangs will be ready. I'm sure they will come in with the best game plan possible and exploit the TEXANS which hasn't been done in some time. I think WO-S can slow down that Wimberly offense enough to win this one in the second half

Why do you think WO-S can't hang with Wimberly, seriously? Is it because they have been beating the Sh## out of those region IV teams? I hear the Texans defense is pretty darn quick. You run the spread so you must have a balanced attack on the offensive side of the ball. I haven't seen Wimberly on film, so I don't know what to expect from them. I just know they must be really good by being 13-0 and beating people like they have been doing

A game of this level, is not won by the players alone. The coaches play a major factor in preparation. WOS has the coaches with the playoff experience behind them, to exploit any weakness in their opponents. With the athletic ability of the Mustangs, coupled to the coaches abilities, I pick WOS.

Like i said before WOS has a huge advantage as far as speed.But i would not take Wimberley to lighty just cause they are from region 4,and they don't see that kind of speed.WC had a very good ballclub with very good team speed and Wimberley beat them very soundly.I do think and i have to go with WOS in this game but it will be very close,i have not seen Wimberley play but the way they have been beating teams they remind me of another region 4 team not to long ago that was in the same situation unbeaten and unknown and that team was Burnett.

i will expect the texans to play wo-s similar to the wo-s vs. bc matchup. should be a good one.

i am ready to see this "code red" defense i have been hearing about. hopefully they will be playing in the "red zone" all night.

i just don't see anyone putting that many points on the board against wo-s. something has to give and from what i have been reading, it may be the texans' offense........

wo-s's offense will find a way to put points on the board. they have done it all season. look at how many close games they have had. they have been down and always seem to come back and win the game. take the (4a) nederland game for example. wo-s was down 10-0 in the first quarter and pulled through with the victory, 20-10 over nederland. that, in my opinion, is what differentiates this team from wimberley. wimberley has never been down against a quality opponent, so who knows what will happen if they get down. wo-s knows how to play when they need to in these sorts of situations.

not a good thing, but none of that matters now. both teams have changed so much that no statistic can be used to predict this one.

Dripping Springs is a 4a (Dist. 27), they and Bandera barely missed playoffs in what I think most would consider tough districts.

This is the way i see it, the last couple of games really show how a team is currently playing and i would have to give wos the advantage. mainly due to the FACT both palestine and giddings had a combined 100 pt average, we only allowed 34 pts. combined. Both teams barely allowed a combined 20 pts. against them and we scored a total of 84 pts. combined against them. So it is very clear that wos has by far a better chance to win this game (IMO). But what do i know im just a big mustang fan.;)

Good point, Worm. It's like they say -- what happens when an irresistible force meets an immovable object? You find out which one has been mislabled. ;)

I think Wimberley's defense is going to present a tough challenge to a WOS' offense, and vice versa. There's no doubt this is going to be a great game between two very strong teams, and the stadium is going to have a tremendous playoff atmosphere -- definitely what semifinal football is all about! :)

Now that there just brings me down.:( You see my favorite dog while I was growing up used to play tether ball. She did! And well! She was a wonderful doberman who played a good game of tether ball.:( After a while she started going and going all over the place. Once she crapped on the tire holding up the tether ball. She got sickly and weak and died shortly...:( Turns out she got worms and that was what was responsible for her demise. Worms made her crap all over the place and she kept crapping even though she tried to stop. Poor poor "Brandy". Such a good dog...

Hmmm. It appears there's more to winning football games than speed. I guess that's why there's track, where speed is what counts. Football, on the other hand, takes more than just speed. And does it really matter if Wimberley hasn't faced speed? They have enough speed of their own that it shouldn't be a tough adjustment. They practice against speed. Last year they didn't face speed and top ranked Cuero with all their speed was supposed to blow them away. Cuero escaped that game 21-17 on a late 4th quarter fumble return for a td.

And who cares what WOS did in the past? Jasper was a 4A quarterfinalist in 2001 returning nearly their whole team in 2002, and Burnet still thumped them. You're in 3A now, playing with 3A numbers. Huffman Hargrave didn't seem to care about your history when they knocked you from the playoffs last year. And Wimberley doesn't care this year. All they care is that WOS stands in their way from a trip to state."

It does make a lot of sense. I'm a little worried about this TEXANS ballclub.
