If the kid is good enough, he can play at the next level.
May not be in the Big 12, but that's why there are schools like UH, UTEP, North Texas, SFA, SHSU, Texas State, etc.....

About 95% of 3A and below talent (even higher percentage in 1&2A) go unnoticed because there simply arent enough scouts to go around. The thing I always tell kids and their parents is GO TO CAMPS!!! And go to as many as possible. If your kid has any talent at all start camping him in 7th grade. Do it every summer and do it alot.
