View Full Version : A interesting question--how will BC defend against the Hippo power plays?

BC has played two teams with big lineman-Jasper and WO-S; yet Hutto seems even a little bigger. Do they go with the powerful yet smaller weightlifter types that have carried them thusfar? Or do they throw in the beef to matchup with Hutto somewhat?
Well I am sure that Cody Sparks 6'4 1/2" 215 and Austin Ponthieu 195 who are cat-quick defensive ends and track standouts will try to keep them turned in.
Sam Elmore the middle linebacker at 190 # and a shot putt specialist will try to punish.
The real question will be will they go with Jimmy Ngo the 240# big Senior youth that has
started to take ground, Andrew Havens 225#, Clinton Derouen 295# and Ben Heinz220# or Brooks Tally 220#. Or will they go with proven aggressive linemen had can often get into your backfield. It will be interesting to see the strategy employed to try to handle this power play serious threat..

Along these same lines, what will Hutto respond with against BC who has score 23 or more points each game on offense. If you try to cover adaquately on the pass play spread--Ashton Elliott, Derrick Coleman, A. J. Hecker, Dale Armand, or especially Randy Jennings-- then Go Johnny Go Dishon will just take off and burn you and make you cry. Dishon converted 4 out of 4 long first downs on 3rd down and that was decisive in the Jasper game.

If they happen to put in Senior Cody Sparks on offense he has a tremendous verticle jump at 6' 4 1/2': he won his first District Championship in the hurdles as a ninth grader. Most of these receivers played baseball on BCs final four team and have good hands for receptions and defensive pickoffs. Good athletes are good athletes!

 baseball+recievers=good hands for receptions and int's:confused: havent seen any of these teams, but jmo hutto has played better offensive teams than BC. It will come down to who wins the battles at the line of scrimmage and it will be hutto. But good luck to both teams and great season for both:clap:

should be a great game. I'm hoping for a defensive battle. Good luck to both teams and safe travels

Sinton Fan in Austin...."Hutto has played better offensive teams this year" now that is one pitiful inaccurate statement LOL

To LH Panther Mom: I would hope that that game(LH vs BC) could become a reality! That would mean we had both beat some potent teams!

I noticed that too LH Mom, you always root against us in every game--what is the deal? We are a long way apart and have never seen each other play?

I'm not rooting against BC, but rather for Hutto. They're only about 30 miles from us and we've played them in pre-district the last 6 seasons. Gotta support the area (or previous opponents), even if they're a different region. :)
