Texas is now #2 and WV is #13 in both polls. After Texas takes care of WV the Longhorns will face either #7 Kentucky or #17.5 Iowa in the championship game of the Guardians Classic.

Circle December 10th on your calendar!

I love West Va's style and usually go for them most of the time but not tonight I will be rooting for Texas even though I wont get to see it because I have a game. But Texas better guard the perimeter because these guys can shoot lights out from point guard to center.

WHEW!

That was a close one.

Turnovers will kill you no matter who you are.

Texas just about blew that one on the last play. I bet they will work on having 4 secs to defend the basket a few times before they play their next one.

That was a great game down the stretch.

Wow WV really blew that one. Terrible free throw shooting down the strech.

1.) We had WAY TOO MANY turnovers. That will kill you everytime.

2.) Our team is practically new. After the situations from last year, plus the newbies, we haven't really gotten a chance to gel.

3.) It's the 1st "real game" of the season. Also, see #2.

4.) Give credit where credit is due and that's West Virginia. What a team and they never gave up. Expect WVU to be back in the Elite Eight and maybe beyond.

i dont texas is worthy of a number 2 rank..but thats just me...i also think that december 10th things might get out of hand when they play duke...duke is freakin awesome and i dont think texas can hang with them especially on the road

It is the beginning of the season you know.

Not everyone is looking very fluid right now. Michigan State lost to Hawaii. Arizona almost lost to unranked Kansas. Arkansas is giving UCONN fits.

So yeah, it's early. The rankings this early don't mean squat anyway. Texas is one of about 4-5 teams that could be ranked first thru third.

yeah true but one thing is forsure...duke is gonna roll right over everyone

Man I thought they were going to call a foul on that last play that call could have went either way. But they were letting them play pretty physical most of the game.

defender went straight up ... no foul to call

His hands went straight up but he jumped towards the offensive player. But I agree it was right on the no call. I thought he was fouled until they slowed it down but the offensive player did try to sell by landing hard.
