First of all congrats to Hutto for an outstanding season so far. I sincerely hope your run keeps going into December. I lived in Austin when I was younger, and never heard much about Hutto making noise in football. I always pull for Austin area schools and am very impressed with what the Hippos have done thus far. So to any of you Hutto fans in the know…are the Hippos here to stay? How many juniors or sophs are getting playing time? How did the sub-varsity and Jr. High teams do? Are the Hippos poised to become a constant centex contender?

Keep at ‘em boys and good luck!

I dont know how JV did, but the freshman team went undefeated. The problem with Hutto continuing its success is the posibility of moving to 4a very soon. Hard to establish a winning program when you are always growing and moving onto 2a,3a,4a in a matter of 6 years or so.

Taken off of Hutto's website:
Hutto Schools opened to an enrollment this year that by the end of the first week had reached 2940. This respresents a 15% increase since May, 2005, a 19% increase since September, 2004, and a 31% increase since May, 2004.

On October 26th enrollment exceeded 3000 !

A breakdown of campus enrollments is as follows:

Johnson Elementary - 797

Hutto Elementary - 810

Middle School - 616

High School - 778

That's some major league growing!

Well at that number for the high school, it is safe to say they will be AAA for two more years anyway.
