I am proud of the Bellville gals. I was quite sure that whoever would emerge out of that torrid Group of Reg. III teams could win state.

From a Monahans "boy" who was there when the Lady Loboes were winning state titles in the 80s, congrats to Bellville. Congrats to the Lady Loboes, too, for a great year. 4 state tourneys in 4 years is something most people can only dream of.

Congrats, on the V-Ball championship. I have a Softball question for you, I heard you have a pitcher from Colorado that transferring to Bellville. A lefty that has already signed with the aggies. If true looks like you'll will have some serious competition on the mound.

I don't think there'll be parade, but some other recognitions are coming. Sports editor of local paper (who has always had fairly long hair) made deal with girls month or so back, they could shave his head if they won state.
Also, Coach Brewer, said she would dye her hair red if they won. These two things will definitely be worth seeing.

It was a fun weekend, and quite a match that was played by two excellent high school volleyball teams. bellville's Katlin Inglish was best hitter on the court and Brittany Hughes from Monahans was best all around player on court, but all the other girls played their hearts out also. Girls hustling and diving for balls all over the court.
By the way, thanks to all the Bellville fans who supported girls, some who couldn't make it for games, but especially those who made the trip to San Marcos. Several of the girls said they were nervous both days until they got out on court to warm up and saw and heard the hundreds of Bellville faithful cheering for them. I know they really appreciated you being there.

We do have this new pitcher. Will make an already strong team even stronger.

If we can get the shortstop from California we're trying for along with catcher from Florida we should be the favorite to go all the way.

there were six seniors, so team is losing quite a bit.
Katlin Inglish, OH
Kristin Chancellor, MB
Adrienne Meier, DS
Tori Schneider, DS/L
Lacie Hugo, OH/DS
Christina Nevins S/DS
First two have gotten all state recognition in past and last four have gotten all district recognition in past.

They are definately losing a lot of talent this year. Should still be solid in the coming seasons from a 26-4 J.V. and a 30-1 freshman team though.

Hey Hookandladder, yes this girl that is in Bellville now was named Colorado Player of the year in 2003, and 2004. Looks like she was the best player in all of Colorado.
She will play for Texas A&M after her high school Sr year.
Bellville already had a very good team comming back from last season, this will make this team even stonger.

Shadow will step into the circle for the Aggies in the 2007 season. Before moving to Texas, her senior year, Shadow was 2003 and 2004 Colorado Player of the Year. The Rocky Mountain News named her as one of the 2004 Best of the Best 5A Colorado Pitchers. She was a member of the 2003 and 2004 Colorado All-Star Team. In 2004, she was the All-Star MVP. While attending Ponderosa High School, Shadow was the captain and earned three varsity letters in softball and an additional three in athletic training. Outside of softball, Shadow participated in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, was a representative for the organization in 2003. From 2003-2004 she was a Young Life leader for middle school students and she also took part in the International Thespian Society. Before joining the No. 1 ranked Texas Impact Gold in 2005, Shadow was a member of the Colorado Commotion which placed 2nd in the USSSA Nationals in 2004 and was awarded USSSA Nationals Best Sportsmanship Team. The Commotion was also the Colorado Team of the Year in 2003.

Comment about the CA shortstop and FLA catcher was just a joke, mom. We havent' started recruiting in Bellville, at least not yet.
We already have good softball team returning even without Emily, but getting a player of that caliber can't help but make us stronger. Just finished volleyball and now I can't wait for softball.
I'll pass the time with football games though. This is just the greatest time of year. Don't you think?

How about the basketball programs? I know the boys should be good, led by U.H. signee Mosley. The girls have a knew coach, who would like to get the program back to the winning ways of years past. Volley ball is king and Softball is very big in Bellville, hope he can get the support and turn that program around.

Isn't it amazing that you can win softball games with only one or two good pitchers. They can throw like 15 to 16 innings if needed, but in baseball you had better have a stable of good arms to keep your team moving through the playoffs.

Nine state vb championships... what an accomplishment. And they were all won with the same coach at the helm. But isn't she the one they tried to run out of town a few years back?
