Remember the schools in the south sorta get the SCREWS put to them. Its all about expenses and travel in their eyes.

Rcvd the following email from Wayne Burrow, NCAA Director of Championships ::

"Mr. Xxxxx:

Site selection is explained in the Division III Football Championships
Handbook which is located online at www.ncaa.org

By your e-mail, you have pretty much figured out that the higher seed
remaining within the regions is given the preference for hosting if they
meet our facility criteria. All hosts do submit bids so that the NCAA
can monitor revenues and expenses.

Wayne Burrow
NCAA Director of Championships"

so there you have it ... you're welcome!

That is a funny one!!! 1995!!! Led Rockdale to the playoffs in football, State tournament in basketball, and he won the region in the 300 hurdles, and captured the state title in track in the same event!!! Played some minor league baseball after going to Blinn.

Yes they have a very good passing camp. My son went to it several years ago and caught something like 1,000 passes during the week. He then went off to a DII school and didn't have a chance of seeing the playing field at least until he was a junior. Transfered to HSU and played JV this year. Played in 10 games and had a blast. HSU has a very good program and a great school to go along with it. Nice facilities and they don't lose too many games either. I think we have a lot of 3A players on the HSU team. many of our guys get overlooked by the DI or DII colleges.

Sort of interesting fact this year out of all the games played between DII and DIII's we actually split with them. Meaning that we won as many as we lost and DIII is non-scholarship. Shows the quality of athlete that DIII's get.

My son is a freshman and he will make it a annual stop over the next three years if he contines to play. I just like him being around Coaches like Coach W and the rest of the HSU Coaches and players. Take care and good luck to your son. :D

wish more schools would start football. Lubbock Christian played for a few years, was in the early 80s I think.

think SAGU will survive? (they need to change the name of that school - its too long)
