Heard that there is a hot issue in the Abilene ISD. Thinking about redrawing the boundary lines for Cooper and Abilene High. Pretty hot topic. Any news on this?

I keep hearing rumors but I haven't seen anything official on the news or in the paper. The re-drawing of the lines throughout the 90's (which played a HUGE role in Abilene High returning to prominance in athletics) has really impacted the overall landscape of the AISD. I won't dive too much into the issue...but notice how Cooper has had 2 "A level"coaches (Randy Allan and Quis) leave for "greener pastures" after the boundary issue came up??? It had a big effect on their programs and they were being asked to do more with less based on their previous success...
