# Number Crunching: This is the first time Perryton and Monahans have played since 1998 when the Loboes won 20-10 in the 3A Division I area playoffs...Monahans coach Mickey Owens is the former coach at Rankin when the Red Devils routinely played Stratford and Wheeler in the playoffs...Perryton has nine two-way starters, Monahans has none...This is the fourth time in the last five years that Perryton has advanced to the second round of the playoffs...Monahans is located about 35 miles southwest of Odessa in Ward County.

# Coach's Comment: "Perryton is playing hot right now, probably hotter than Snyder last week," Monahans coach Mickey Owen said. "That's what scares you because the teams that are playing hot at the end of the year win. Their last couple of game films look a lot better than what they were playing earlier in the season and that scares you."

# In the Future: Tonight's winner plays the winner between Breckenridge (9-3) and Bridgeport (6-5) next week in the regional playoffs.

# Harris Line: Monahans is a 14-point favorite.
