Divison 1 State Finalist Curse

Since Class 3A divided into 2 divisons in 1998, Region 3 have been cursed of making it to the finals. The only school to come out of Region 3 in the finals was Gatesville which eventaully won the State Title back in 2000. But in 2005 I think West Orange Stark has what it takes to break the curse. So this week I think they will beat Palestine. Unless the Wildcats pull a shocker. Here are the State Finalist 1998-2004

1998....Cuero (Region 4)
1999....Mathis (Region 4)
2000....Gatesville (Region 3..State Champion)
2001....Sinton (Region 4)
2002....Burnet (Region 4)
2003....Burnet (Region 4)
2004....Cuero (Region 4)


Cuero and Burnet are the only ones to repeat as State Finalist

Actually one more state finals appearance will tie Cuero with Odessa Permian for most state finals appearances with 11.
