if that is true that is so gay....a-rod and any new york yankee...david ortiz was more valuable to his team than a rod was....down the stretch big poppi was carrying the sox on his back

Yes and David Ortiz played some great defense, while helping produce runs with his awesome speed too :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

down the stretch a rod wasnt even the mvp of his team...juiced up giambi was hitting better than a rod

if big poppi is not an all time dh then he gets it but defense just gave it away defense vs. leadership they went with defense

Check This out..

A-Rod is top 4 in all of the most important offensive catagories (AVG, BB, OPS, OB% RBIs, Runs, Slugging %, and Home Runs), on top of that he was 2nd in fielding percentage for a 3rd baseman behind the gold glove winner Eric Chavez, and he was 9th in the League with 21 Stolen bases..

David Ortiz is in the top 4 of just these catagories (Homeruns, RBIs, Runs, Walks, and Sluggin %).. And he DOESN'T play defense, and he had 1 Stolen base all year..

but I guess because he had a good couple weeks at the end of the season we should name him the MVP
