glad my home town team has one of those (almost - only 2 others in Texa) unique nicknames ...... my alma mater also recently changed from Bulldogs to Bulldawgs just "to be different" according to the head coach

lubbock monterey is the plainsmen....the only one.

when i was in HS the district consisted on Plainsmen, mustangs, Sandies, Westerners, Dons, Rebels.

only one animal.

yep, but those cars pollute and hurt people especially those big ole SUVs.
