Congrats to A. Brannen-Gold Metalist

Well Bridge City was the second place CC team this year behind a fine Decatur team. They are now-- 2005 #2, 2004 #1, 2003 #2, 2002 #5....The one bright star this year was A. Brannen winning the Gold. It was a tough year for the Cards with the hurricane and all. Our star's Mom died and it was hard for him to focus for a while but he came back like a trooper and we congradulate him for his stamina and hard work.

I was quite interesting in that so many schools had maybe just one or two good runners. Decaturs best runner came in seventh place in the race yet they had enough points on down the system to win the team trophy. The first five were athletes that will probably get good college scholarships

Congrats to Decatur on their first place finish. And doubly so to win it as team!
