View Full Version : Not football, not 3A, but...

I just want to talk up some kids I don't even know!

The Collinsville High School (1A) Lady Pirates volleyball team is in the state tournament! Even though I haven't lived there in 20 years, it's good to see some of the home folks doing well.

What's hard for me to grasp is that I probably went to school with the parents of some of those girls. Man, I'm gettin' old!

the girls are just awesome. we're all hoping the bring home the trophy.

good luck to the milano lady eagles.....4th straight year to the state tournament, i think they've been in the last 2 title games but could never pull it out against windthorst, hopefully things will change this year and the seniors can finally win it all.....good luck girls!

Good luck to all. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but, in case you didn't already know the Trojanettes of Windthorst are back to try to defend their title. I believe they only have 2 losses and they both came to 4A competition. Them dang dairy farmers keep turning out great volleyball players.

Interesting piece of trivia...the four teams in the 1A state tournament are actually the same teams that have been #1-4 in the TGCA poll for the past several weeks.

i think collinsville played windthorst in a tournament this year. windthorst won but it was close and could of went either way. i'm hoping it goes collinsville's way this time.
